STATS' Motion Tracking Technology Enjoys Successful First Season with UEFA

Northbrook, IL - April 7, 2010 - Sports information leader STATS LLC has announced a partnership with UEFA which designates STATS as the Official Motion Tracking Data Partner for UEFA Champions League. Working with deltatre, UEFA's major strategic partner for the provision of information technology services, STATS' unique real-time motion data is integrated with deltatre's result system to enhance UEFA broadcasts.

STATS has leveraged its revolutionary SportVU technology to collect real-time motion and positioning data for the ball and participants (players and referee) within the playing field for every game of this year's UEFA Champions League season.

SportVU motion tracking provides UEFA, through deltatre integration, a powerful lineup of unique performance data, highlighting among other things, shot distance, player speed, distance covered by the players and teams and positional heat maps, all in real time. These next generation statistics provide deeper game insights. All aspects of the data collection process are completely non-intrusive to game action.

Player tracking content is also available live during matches on UEFA.com.

"Player tracking is a great tool that has proven to be very popular since its introduction at UEFA EURO 2008. UEFA is convinced that its partnership with STATS will prove highly efficient and will allow fans and media alike to continue to access exciting UEFA Champions League match statistics in real time," said David Taylor, UEFA Events SA CEO.

"STATS is proud to be aligned with UEFA and deltatre. This partnership affirms our belief that STATS' SportVU technology is the gold standard in motion tracking data collection," said Gary Walrath, CEO of STATS.
