SportVU is launching its 2nd Gen' players and ball tracking system at NAB

Kfar-Sava, Israel, April 7th, 2008 - SportVU Ltd, a Technology company, that
enables sports fans watching television, cellular displays, web sites or gaming
consoles to get much better insight and understanding of the game events & tactics,
will be launching its second generation players and ball tracking system at
the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) taking place at Las Vegas on
April 14th, 2008. Apart from the tactical and analysis game views offered in
the previous version the new product provides a statistical engine capable
of real time generation of any statistical parameter per an individual player,
a group of players or the whole team and for a specified time period of the
match.
Graphs showing the variation of a given parameter over time are available as
well.
Examples of stats already included in the new engine – accumulated distances,
average, maximal or momentary speeds, coverage maps, players trajectories and
motion patterns, various fitness criteria and their time dependence, number
of sprints, total time allocation between walking/running/sprinting, number
of passes and crosses, number of good/bad tackles, ball possession time, ball
speed stats and referee performance and fitness.
Any additional statistical function can be easily extracted by the customer.
The real time data may be displayed in standard or high definition formats
using the customer’s own 2d or 3d graphical tools.
SportVU’s tracking system is already in use by major European broadcasters
and service providers.
